MENLO PARK, CALIFORNIA / RankWire.AI / – Meta has unveiled Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, a fresh lineup of sophisticated artificial intelligence models designed specifically for software development, AI agents, and intricate daily tasks. These systems are capable of assisting with diverse areas including leases, insurance claims, financial data, and application creation. The company made Muse Wonder accessible via its Model API and Muse Code on October 12, with Muse Wonder Full becoming available to users holding eligible Muse Code subscriptions.

The focus of these models is on multi-step tasks rather than simple, single-response queries. Muse Wonder is capable of planning workflows, utilizing digital tools, and breaking down larger projects into smaller, specialized sub-agents. It can operate seamlessly across web browsers, desktop applications, and mobile devices. Meta designed the system with resilience in mind, enabling it to recover when a chosen approach fails. Supporting context windows of approximately one million tokens, the models can process extensive documents, codebases, and other large-scale materials within a single session.
Additionally, Meta introduced features called Active Memory and Active Focus alongside the Wonder models. Active Memory preserves useful information from previous conversations and retrieves it when necessary, while Active Focus aids an AI agent in navigating complex problems and adapting its approach after encountering errors. The models are also capable of requesting clarification when instructions lack critical details and can seek confirmation before executing sensitive or significant actions. These functionalities aim to facilitate longer, uninterrupted work sessions without the need for users to restart tasks repeatedly.
Enhanced agentic and coding capabilities marked by new AI models
The cost for Muse Wonder is $4 per million input tokens via the Meta Model API, with output priced at $20 per million tokens, and cached input costing $0.20 per million tokens. Instead of separate API charges, Meta offers Muse Wonder Full through paid Muse Code plans. The company also provides a Power Usage plan at $50 per month, and a Maximum Usage plan costing $200 per month designed for developers with more intensive coding needs.
Meta has published benchmark results evaluating the models in contexts such as software engineering, coding agents, and long-term technical tasks, highlighting tests including DeepSWE and SWE-Marathon. The Artificial Analysis assessed both models at maximum reasoning effort, assigning Muse Wonder an Intelligence Index score of 52 and Muse Wonder Full a score of 56. These scores surpass those of Meta’s earlier Muse Spark models, demonstrating a clear improvement in reasoning performance on the evaluation scale.
Safety and privacy measures accompany the rollout
Meta states that the Wonder models incorporate safeguards aimed at protecting privacy, preventing harmful requests, and ensuring cybersecurity. They have been trained to withhold private information unless explicitly permitted by the user, and to decline requests involving harmful activities while still supporting legitimate security functions. Developers can utilize the models to identify vulnerabilities in their own software and enhance security protocols. Meta continues to evaluate its most advanced AI systems under its Superintelligence Scaling Framework and intends to publish additional information regarding safety testing results for these new models.
This release follows a significant restructuring of Meta’s AI initiatives that began approximately 14 months prior. The company explains that Muse Wonder builds upon the technical foundations laid by Muse Spark, with training conducted using extensive computing resources at its Prometheus data center. Furthermore, Meta plans to integrate Muse Wonder’s capabilities into additional features within the Muse ecosystem, starting with subscribers. While developers already have access to Muse Wonder, Muse Wonder Full remains available exclusively through qualifying Muse Code subscription plans.
