SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to commence nonstop flights from Sharjah International Airport to Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026, with the airline operating this route four times weekly, thereby establishing an additional direct link between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Already connecting Sharjah with Queen Alia International Airport, Air Arabia’s new service provides passengers with access to two airports serving Amman, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Flight G9 169 will leave Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrive in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time, while the return flight, G9 170, departs Amman at 11:20 a.m. and reaches Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Reservations are now open via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agency network, with the route announcement made on October 8, more than a month prior to the inaugural flight.
This new route from Sharjah expands Air Arabia Group’s existing network in Jordan, which already includes flights from Abu Dhabi and Alexandria to Amman. In addition to the new Sharjah service, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi operates flights connecting Zayed International Airport with both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport, while the group also runs direct flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. This additional route offers travelers another departure point for journeys to Jordan’s capital city.
Second Jordanian Airport Joins Sharjah Network
Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, emphasized that the new service provides travelers with an alternative airport option in Amman, enhancing convenience and flexibility for passengers traveling between Jordan and the UAE. He also confirmed that the airline will maintain its existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, meaning Amman City Airport will serve as a second gateway to Jordan within Air Arabia’s Sharjah flight schedule.
Earlier in 2026, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi began flights to Amman City Airport, starting May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. Prior to adding this second Amman airport, the Abu Dhabi route already served Queen Alia International Airport. The airline stated that its expanded Abu Dhabi schedule provided a total of 10 weekly flights to Amman, and this two-airport approach will now be extended to Sharjah.
Four Weekly Flights Strengthen UAE-Jordan Air Links
Throughout its published schedule, the new flights from Sharjah will be identified with the G9 169 and G9 170 service numbers. The airline operates Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its network, offering SkyTime entertainment, SkyCafe onboard meals, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Customers can book the new service to Amman City Airport via the airline’s usual sales channels ahead of its scheduled launch in November.
This November expansion enhances Air Arabia Group’s connectivity between the UAE and Jordan through multiple bases, with passengers from Sharjah gaining direct access to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Meanwhile, passengers in Abu Dhabi already benefit from flights to both airports via Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, and Alexandria maintains a direct route to Amman City Airport. The new service will introduce four weekly flights from Sharjah, broadening the group’s overall Jordanian flight schedule.
